Abyss NPC Locations Guide
Every documented NPC in Abyss Roblox organized by zone — what they do, where to find them, and which quest chains they start. Based on Game8 (February 2026) and Beebom (February 2026).
Who This Guide Is For

Forgotten Deep
CONFIRMEDThe starting zone. All five core NPCs are here plus two shops. This is where you spend your first few hours — selling fish, picking up quests, buying your first gear upgrade, and opening your first geodes.
Kraken
MAIN QUEST GIVERLocation: Center of the Forgotten Dome
The entity that pulled you underwater at the start of the game. Beebom: the Kraken is at the very center of the safe dome and is the primary quest giver for all beginners. Game8: its quests reward Forgotten Keys which unlock Fish Shrines.
Virelia
GEODE OPENINGLocation: Behind the cauldron that glows purple, next to the Kraken in the Forgotten Dome
Beebom describes her as a powerful mage who opens geodes. Game8: her distinctive purple stall is the landmark for locating her. She is the only NPC who can convert geodes into artifacts.
Mr. Black
OXYGEN PODS, POTIONS, MUTATION QUESTSSHOPLocation: Forgotten Deep (specific stall)
Game8: Mr. Black sells Oxygen Pods and potions and offers a quest chain requiring mutated fish. These quests are a significant source of income and artifact rewards — check back after every catch run.
Scientist
TELEPORTER, MATERIAL QUESTSLocation: Next to a portable restroom, near Henry's Harpoon Shop in Forgotten Deep
Beebom: the Scientist has a teleporter device. You must collect three materials on the starter island to activate it, then pay a small fee to fast-travel. Game8 confirms his location near Henry's shop.
Henry
GUN / HARPOON SHOPSHOPLocation: Next to the Kraken in the Forgotten Dome (Harpoon shop)
Game8: Henry mans the Harpoon shop where you can buy guns. Beebom: Henry is inside the Harpoon shop alongside the Crab NPC. Crossbow Gun ($4,750) and Air Rifle Gun are among his stock.
David
TUBE SHOPSHOPLocation: Next to Virelia's shop in the Forgotten Dome
Game8: David sells Tubes, which determine oxygen capacity and travel range. Beebom: David is to the right of Virelia. Boat Tube (~$5,250) is one of his key mid-game purchases.
Richard
BESTIARY, FISH RADARSHOPLocation: Next to the leadership board in the Forgotten Dome
Game8: Richard manages the Bestiary, which tracks your fishing progress. Beebom: his stall is next to the Tube shop and he sells the Fish Radar for $450 — essential for identifying mutation status on caught fish.
Billy
STORAGESHOPLocation: Forgotten Deep (near Virelia area)
Billy's Storage allows you to store fish and equipment. Game8 lists Billy as a dedicated storage NPC in the Forgotten Deep. Essential for keeping high-value fish while you fish further from the sell point.
The Crab
SECRET QUESTLocation: Inside the Harpoon shop with Henry
Beebom: the Crab is alongside Henry in the Harpoon shop and can give a secret quest when you bring it a hidden scroll. This is an optional side content — not required for progression.
Ocean
CONFIRMEDThe open water zone connecting the starting dome to other regions. NPCs here are fewer but serve important mid-game functions.
Marcus
QUESTS, BOAT TUBELocation: Ocean (boat departure point)
Game8 lists Marcus in the Ocean section. Fish Route Guide sourcing: Pro Game Guides notes Marcus as a mid-game cash quest source ($1,600 per completion). He is the primary reason to visit the Ocean zone beyond transit.
Morveth's Cave
PARTIAL DATAA cave zone with its own set of NPCs. Less documented in public sources than Forgotten Deep.
Morveth
TBDLocation: Morveth's Cave
Named for the cave. Game8 lists Morveth's Cave as a zone with its own NPC section, but specific quest details and role are not consistently documented in available sources.
Ancient Sands
CONFIRMEDThe mid-game zone. NPCs here provide the next tier of quests, gear, and progression after Forgotten Deep. Beebom describes it as the second major region you access after upgrading your tube.
Crazy Jeff
QUESTS, CAVE ENTRANCE REFERENCE POINTLocation: Ancient Sands — near the entrance to Crazy Jeff's Cave
Game8's Progression Guide specifically uses Crazy Jeff's Cave entrance as the recommended fishing base for Ancient Sands. Fish Route Guide: Jeff is the zone NPC whose quest chain is among the most cited mid-game cash injections.
Virelia
GEODE OPENING (ALSO PRESENT HERE)Location: Ancient Sands
Virelia appears in multiple zones. Game8 lists her again in the Ancient Sands section — she travels between zones and remains available for geode opening throughout the game.
Spirit Roots
CONFIRMEDThe late-game zone. Quest chains here are described as the most challenging and rewarding in the game, with Golem's quest chain being the primary cited example.
Golem
LATE-GAME QUEST CHAINLocation: Spirit Roots
Fish Route Guide sourcing: Golem's quest chain in Spirit Roots is described as one of the most challenging and rewarding in the game. Community consensus names this as the primary progression milestone for the zone.
Lumi
LATE-GAME QUESTSLocation: Spirit Roots
Fish Route Guide lists Lumi alongside Golem and Isolde as Spirit Roots quest chain NPCs. Multiple community sources cite all three as the late-game progression triangle.
Isolde
LATE-GAME QUESTSLocation: Spirit Roots
Fish Route Guide lists Isolde alongside Golem and Lumi as a Spirit Roots quest chain NPC. Referenced in community discussion as part of the late-game progression triad.
Sunken Wilds
PARTIAL DATAThe deepest documented zone. Game8 lists Sunken Wilds as a separate zone with its own NPC section. Least documented in public sources — check in-game for current content.
Sunken Wilds NPCs
TBDLocation: Sunken Wilds
Game8 lists Sunken Wilds as a zone with NPCs but specific names and roles are not consistently documented in available sources. Confirm in-game.
Cannot Find an NPC?
- →Use the teleporter (Scientist)If you have activated the Scientist's teleporter, fast-travel is the fastest way to move between the Forgotten Dome and other zones. This eliminates the need to swim long distances to find zone-specific NPCs.
- →Return to the Forgotten Dome firstIf you are lost, return to the Kraken (center of the Forgotten Dome) — this is the navigation anchor for the entire starting area. All five core NPCs are within a short walk of the Kraken.
- →Check near VireliaVirelia, David, Richard, Henry, and Billy are all clustered near the center of the Forgotten Dome, within a short radius of the Kraken and Virelia's purple cauldron. If you find one of them, you are near all of them.
- →Ancient Sands NPCs are near the water entry pointGame8 and Fish Route Guide both reference Crazy Jeff near the cave entrance — this is the Ancient Sands equivalent of the Forgotten Dome central cluster. Virelia also appears in Ancient Sands.
- →Spirit Roots NPCs are deeper in the zoneGolem, Lumi, and Isolde are deep in Spirit Roots — not at the entrance. You need a Rukiry Tube (or equivalent) to access the full zone. Community sources confirm all three are quest-givers for the late-game progression triangle.
