Abyss Races
Abyss launched with a public race system built around rerolls, rarity tiers, and passive bonuses. This page is intentionally conservative: it keeps the confirmed race list and broad roles, while avoiding overconfident claims about every hidden number.
What We Can Confirm
- Abyss publicly lists 16 races across Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic tiers.
- You can reroll races with Star Shards, and public guides describe up to three race slots for switching builds.
- Higher rarity races generally offer stronger utility for oxygen management, damage, cooldown, and movement.
Safer Reroll Priorities
Early Game
Monkey, Cyclops, Fish
These races are easier to reach and immediately smooth out movement, damage, or weight management.
Mid Game
Narwhal, Spirit, Anglerfish, Crab
These are strong progression races once you start caring about deeper areas, cooldown, and survivability.
Late Game
Shark, Vampire Squid, Sea Angel, Kraken
Public guides consistently place these near the top because they scale better into hard fishing and endgame zones.

Accuracy Note
Individual passive percentages can drift between patches and community sources. For that reason, this page is written as a reliable overview rather than a fake spreadsheet of exact numbers.
