Best Guns in Abyss for Each Game Stage
A stage-by-stage gun buying guide for Abyss Roblox. Covers every major gun purchase from the Starter Gun to the Wild Gun, with prices, damage stats, shop sources, and the reasoning behind each recommendation.
Who this is for: Players who are not sure what gun to buy next, or who want to understand the progression path before committing their cash. This page does not cover every gun — only the ones worth buying at each stage.
Short Answer
Buy the Air Rifle Gun early, move to Crossbow Gun in Ancient Sands, push to Wasted Gun when you can afford it, jump to Lost Spirit Gun in Spirit Roots, and aim for Wild Gun as your endgame goal. Never buy the Bottle Gun.
Forgotten Deep — Early Game
TL;DR: Start with the free Starter Gun, buy the Beginners Gun (350) as your first upgrade, then grab the Air Rifle Gun (2,150) once you have the cash. Skip the Bottle Gun entirely.
Starter Gun
Source: Default loadout
What you begin with. It is fine for the first few catches but does not scale.
Beginners Gun
Source: Henry's Harpoon Shop
Your first meaningful upgrade. The damage jump is noticeable and the price is cheap. Worth buying before spending on anything else.
Air Rifle Gun
Source: Henry's Harpoon Shop (back room)
The most recommended early gun. 55 DMG is enough to one-shot most fish in Forgotten Deep with a decent artifact. The long charge time is its main weakness; Cooldown Reduction artifacts help.
Stage Tip
Sell catch frequently instead of hoarding. The Starter Gun and Beginners Gun are fine while you save for the Air Rifle.
Common Mistakes
- ×Buying the Bottle Gun — it is a free stopgap, not a real upgrade.
- ×Spending Star Shards on rerolls before your gun is strong enough to handle deeper zones.
- ×Trying to force deep dives with a weak gun instead of progressing zone by zone.
Ancient Sands — Mid Game
TL;DR: Get the Crossbow Gun (4,750) from Marcus as your primary, and push toward the Wasted Gun (17,500) from Crazy Jeff if your budget allows. Crossbow covers most fights; Wasted is the ceiling for this zone.
Crossbow Gun
Source: Marcus (Ancient Sands)
The cost-effective standard for Ancient Sands. 85 DMG handles the majority of fish in this zone without overspending. Reliable and affordable.
Wasted Gun
Source: Crazy Jeff's Shop (Ancient Sands)
The actual ceiling for Ancient Sands. Higher damage AND faster cooldown than Crossbow. If you are grinding this zone seriously, this is worth the jump.
Stage Tip
Ancient Sands is where most players first feel real progression pressure. A Wasted Gun makes daily quests and mutant hunting noticeably faster.
Common Mistakes
- ×Staying on Crossbow Gun too long when you have the funds for Wasted — the damage difference is significant.
- ×Ignoring the zone's quests, which are a major source of early cash.
Spirit Roots — Late Mid Game
TL;DR: Push for the Lost Spirit Gun (149,500) as your primary. It is widely considered the biggest single jump in the game. Morveth's Treasure Gun (82,500) is a cheaper stepping stone.
Morveth's Treasure Gun
Source: Morveth (quest-linked)
A strong intermediate upgrade before going all-in on Lost Spirit. Quest-linked so it is not always available, but the stats are solid.
Lost Spirit Gun
Source: Viktor's Shop (Spirit Roots)
The most frequently cited "worth it" jump in the entire game. 290 DMG with a 1.9s cooldown and full Control stat. Public guides consistently describe this as a game-changer for Spirit Roots and beyond.
Stage Tip
Spirit Roots marks a sharp difficulty increase. The Lost Spirit Gun is not optional at this stage — it is the threshold.
Common Mistakes
- ×Skipping Morveth's quest chain and missing the Treasure Gun as a bridge upgrade.
- ×Rushing to buy Lost Spirit without saving enough — it is a major investment.
Endgame — After Spirit Roots
TL;DR: Ruined Gun (245,000) from Lightkeeper opens the endgame path. Wild Gun (460,000) from King Monkey's Shop is the most commonly recommended final goal. Banana Gun (290,000) is a niche alternative for specific builds.
Ruined Gun
Source: Lightkeeper (Angler Cave path)
The main gateway into endgame content. Strong stats that hold up through Angler Cave and later zones. Most players consider this mandatory before pushing further.
Banana Gun
Source: Builder Monkey's Shop
Added around the Sunken Wilds/Jungle cycle. Niche option that some players prefer for specific build reasons. Less universally recommended than Wild Gun.
Wild Gun
Source: King Monkey's Shop
Public guides commonly rate this as the best overall gun in the game. High damage, good control, and wide applicability across late zones. The price is steep but the ceiling is real.
Stage Tip
Endgame guns are expensive. Focus on completing daily quests, catching mutated fish, and using the Fish Pond to generate passive income before committing to a Wild Gun purchase.
Common Mistakes
- ×Buying Ruined Gun before you have explored Angler Cave content — you may want a different path.
- ×Treating Wild Gun as mandatory for enjoyment — many players do fine with Ruined Gun and Banana Gun depending on their build.
What We Can Confirm
The gun progression path (Starter → Beginners → Air Rifle → Crossbow → Wasted → Lost Spirit → Ruined → Wild) is consistent across Game8, Beebom, and Pro Game Guides. Shop sources and approximate prices also align across these sources.
Specific damage values (55 DMG, 85 DMG, 120 DMG, 290 DMG) come from Game8, which publishes per-gun stat cards. These values may shift slightly between patches.
What May Change
- ⚠Gun stats and prices can change between Roblox Abyss updates. Always check the in-game shop before committing large amounts of cash.
- ⚠The Jungle update (mentioned by Game8 as of February 2026) means some post-Spirit content details may not be fully reflected across all sources yet.
- ⚠Banana Gun was added in a later update cycle. Its exact positioning relative to Ruined Gun may shift as more玩家 data comes in.
